Book launch date and venue - confirmed!

Looking for a date for the launch of my book, there seemed to be only one obvious choice - Fraser’s 16th Birthday on the 15th September 2024.

Every birthday, I still celebrate with him as although he may no longer be with me; not only does his spirit live on so strongly in both Elizabeth and I but also his Fab Gift of Life.

On his 7th birthday, just before the incident, it was decided that there was to be no party as we were taking him to the theatre. This quickly turned into a mega party; some 30 children in our back garden; football played over the park (that was soon to become much more than that!) and a host of hot and sweaty children chomping down on hot dogs whilst enjoying not just any cake but a cookie cake.

The photos taken that day could just as easily be out of an American movie of complete contentment and enjoyment in any era. Therefore, what better date to launch the book but his sweet sixteenth?

Having confirmed the date and thereby ensuring that I did conclude and launch the book against my own self doubts and nervous feelings, I had to find the venue.

Church, Cardiff City Stadium, and Castle Coch all came into the forefront but not for this launch. I needed somewhere tranquil, somewhere for new memories to be made; somewhere local to my upbringing.

Somewhere special.

This year, we held Elizabeth’s 12th Birthday party at Llanishen and Lisvane Reservoir; around the corner to where I was brought up (and where my parents still reside); the community that rallied round us and remain very much our believers.

So that’s where my story will first be told to the world. And you can be there.
